We received feedback from some of our customers recently, saying that the quality of our e-scooters is very good, especially for the tires. However, they have some other scooter brands always have problems, like air leaks. We are glad to know our scooter has positive feedback and would like to share what we do to prevent air leaking.
In fact, regardless of bicycles or scooters, there is a pain point that has existed for many years, which is the problem of a leaking puncture. In daily riding, it is inevitable that you will encounter various complicated road conditions, such as very small glass nail screws. Many times, the naked eye can’t notice it, so it can’t be avoided very well. Once the vehicle is stuck in the tier, it is very troublesome.
Therefore, many professional riders will bring their own tire fluid, but sometimes it is a headache for those who are in a hurry or who are not strong in hands-on ability.
Some companies simply use air-free tires, which can be used once and for all but will sacrifice seismic performance, reduce the comfort of riding, and increase the weight of the whole vehicle.
In response to this pain point, our company’s electric scooter used a tire that can be repaired and maintained automatically on the hot-selling scooter Smiles X7.
Its appearance and performance are the same as ordinary pneumatic tires. The inside of the inner tube comes with fiber repair liquid. When the tire is punctured by tiny glass or nails, the owner finds the nail and pulls it out, the repair liquid will automatically cover the broken. Block the hole and quickly dry it to complete the self-repair.
Even if your tires pass through such a road.
In the process of pulling out the nails, you can hear the obvious sound of air leaking. Because the internal tire filling fluid is sinking on the underside of the tire at this time, it is impossible to reach the broken hole, so there will be air leakage.
After pulling out the nails, we need to immediately straighten the scooter and let the tied parts face to the bottom. The purpose is to allow the internal tire fluid to penetrate into the hole for repair.
In less than a minute, it basically recovered, and a little bit of gas leaked during the process of pulling the nail, but basically, it will not affect the ride, and then find a place to pump it.
At present, this automatic repair tire has a good repair effect on small holes (a few millimeters). The bigger the hole is, the more difficult it is to repair. Although it can play a certain degree of defense, having a good riding habit, being aware of the road conditions, and paying attention to the maintenance of the scooter, is the best way for protection.
